Is what they're floating on controlled by Ishida?

Reply Rip the Hunter, May 20th, 2013, 1:23 am

@Doodlebot117: Yeah, it's called a Reiryoku Platform. He floated on one when the group was passing through Urahara's Garganta on the way to Hueco Mundo.

@Rip the Hunter: Ah I see. So he had to leave Orihime with Ishida because he had the 'vehicle' that would get her out quickly. Orihime didn't do the 'walk on air' thing like everyone else... shunpo or something? Gah, it really has been years since I was into anything Bleach-related!

@Doodlebot117: Ichigo actually left them there without any idea how they would get back. In canon, everyone just kinda magically found one another at some point and reunited with Ichigo after the Aizen battle, right before he passed out. In the anime, Ishida and Orihime were still on the dome when they (somehow, through the realms) felt that Aizen had been finished.

@Rip the Hunter: I like how you don't leave any plot holes, and everything is logical in addition to pulling on the emotional strings of the readers. Quite the talent you have there!

@Doodlebot117: Honestly I don't know how Kubo manages to tell a story at all without thinking about this stuff. I mean, it was already weird enough in the manga when the group just popped up out of no where (injured and bandaged, half of em) without any noted mode of transportation. What was even crazier was when, in one of the data books (Kubo wrote a short story) where one of Hallibel's fraccion just magically knows where Orihime is, magically appears, magically asks nicely for Orihime to heal Hallibel and not only does Orihime agree, RENJI carries this fraccion all the way back to the World of the Living where Hallibel is dying. This is despite the fact that, at least as far as we know, Orihime had never once even MET Hallibel OR her fraccion, so she would have no idea what kind of character this woman is. For all she knew, she was monstrous like Barragan...

But Orihime wouldn't heal Ulquiorra....even though they reached out to each other and she cried for him. I guess someone just needed to ask her nicely or something. /sigh

Ask her nicely or write her better.

Do you do any original stories? You've clearly got talent for flipping an established story and bringing out the best in every single one of the already-established characters. I'd love to see what you could do from the ground up :3

@Doodlebot117: I have an original story, I'm just waiting for my art to stabilize before I work on it. The Redux is basically practice for eventually doing that story later. You've already seen a few of my OCs.

Will your story be based in Bleach? Or are they making cameos in an adjusted form?

Reply Rip the Hunter, May 21st, 2013, 12:04 am

@Doodlebot117: Oh no, it's a fully original story that has no relation whatsoever to Bleach or any other existing franchise. I just threw my OCs into the Redux to practice drawing them. Their personalities and costumes aren't even the same in the universe they originate in.

I support using them as extras for practice X3 They were much more interesting than characters drawn to be place holders I'm sure!
